Anne Rivers Siddons

Anne Rivers Siddons’ writing on Southern culture and places is shaped by her observations of human nature and human yearnings. “All my books are about women taking journeys they might not want to take,” she told interviewer Bonnie Mason in 2008. “It’s about finding wholeness. I know so few whole families anymore, and how can we have whole families if we don’t have whole women?”
