Sharon Martin was born and grew up in the Deep South, where she developed an acute interest and sensitivity to the relationship between culture and gender. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degree at Emory University in the Psychosocial Nurse Practitioner program, obtaining advanced certification as Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. She is a 2005 graduate of the C. G. Jung Institute Zurich. She has a private practice as a Jungian analyst in Charleston where she lives happily with her inner partner, two amazing sons and their valiant golden retriever.
